Introducing...Alexander!

Celesta and John Hajda are thrilled to announced the arrival of their son, Alexander Jackson Hajda. He was born on October 30 at 10:01 a.m., weighing in at 7 lbs., 10 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches in length. They are all happy and healthy, but a bit tired!

Prayers Needed!

Barbara and Rafe Echemann are former parishioners now living in Sidney, Ohio. Barbara suffered a head injury as a result of a fall and is now in a nursing home. Please keep her in your prayers.

Happy News!

Celesta Billeci and John Hajda are expecting the birth of their first child -- a boy -- in early November. Prayers for a safe delivery and happy, healthy baby with musical talent are requested.

Welcome to the Family!

Sol Justicia Beard Armbruster was baptized at St. Mark's on June 11, 2006. Father Joe performed the sacrament, with her parents, Ralph and Meg, and her godparents, Ruth Holman and Oscar Alejandro Fierros also attending the ceremony. Sol coperated quite nicely, enjoying the music as well as her birthday cake later in the day. She is proud to be one of the newest
members of the St. Mark's community.

A St. Mark's Graduate

Samantha Morgan is graduating with a BA in English and a minor in Exercise and Sports Studies, Fitness Instruction. She plans to stay in Isla Vista through August. In the fall she is moving to Tecate, Mexico to work at a fitness spa called Rancho La Puerta. After that she would like to spend a year doing volunteer/missionary work.
